I am running Ubuntu 9.10 and I believe I am using the newest version of boxturtle.
The output from the attached code is the same as yours.

Whoops.. forgot to attach the code (modified example from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getaddrinfo). Also, this produces:
