If you use bash, you need to write simple bash scripts in your .bashrc
like below:

# after `source $ROS_ROOT/setup.sh'
function _roscomplete_launch_xml {
    _roscomplete_search_dir "-type f -regex .*\.\(launch\|xml\)" # patched
    if [[ $COMP_CWORD == 1 ]]; then
        arg="${COMP_WORDS[COMP_CWORD]}"

}

complete -F "_roscomplete_launch_xml" -o filenames -o plusdirs "roslaunch"
