Thanks for the info, Brian and Geoff. At least that clears things up that the driver should not work over serial out of the box. Although we did have it working at some point (pre 1.0), but I guess we were just lucky that some other tool set the right baudrate and everything for the serial device before we started hokuyo_node. > The hokuyo_aist driver in Gearbox does indeed support serial. I'll let you know when I figure out the right commands, it shouldn't be too much as we already had it working over serial in some configuration.
