Hi all, does rosinstall work fine for you in Ubuntu 10.10 or did you install ROS another way? I tried following the tutorial at: http://www.ros.org/wiki/cturtle/Installation/Ubuntu/SVN but then get the following error when calling rosinstall: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/rosinstall", line 4, in import pkg_resources File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 2671, in working_set.require(__requires__) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 654, in require needed = self.resolve(parse_requirements(requirements)) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 552, in resolve raise DistributionNotFound(req) pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: rosinstall==0.5.8 Did you experience this problem also?
