Hi, I have this issue whenever my Laptop is detached from any network. The following line in /etc/hosts (added by NetworkManager) is the offender: ::1 myboxname localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6 I remove my computers name: ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6 That fixes it. Supposedly, new versions of NetworkManager will leave the file /etc/hosts alone.
