It is possiblie to subscribe to stdout of a shell-command and also to publish inputs to stdin... use the following link for checkout svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/ivs-ros-pkg/code/trunk ivs-ros-pkg and I put some basic examples into the launchfile-folder....
