hi Randall, We've had some success using Linaro. I didn't do the work myself, but here's a summary of getting everything built up to the point of using a Kinect: http://www.ros.org/wiki/gumros/kinect. There's no step-by-step of the install process, but there's a link there to a (big) disk image that you could `dd` to an SD card to try out the result. I believe that everything was natively compiled (slow, but fewer headaches than cross-compiling). brian. I can't get a basic image built using Ubuntu 11.04, I installed Ubuntu 10.10 and now I am having a heck of a time with the cross-compile of apache-log4cxx. I get: > > /usr/bin/ld: /opt/gumros/lib/libaprutil-1.a(apr_xml.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata.str1.1' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC > > Does anyone know a fairly trouble free distribution?
