The Autonomous Vehicle team of Institut VEDECOM is looking for a post-doctorate student to work on a localization system based on traditional infrastructure elements (signs, crossroads, etc.) that are usually found in classical Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He/she will have the following missions: 1. Review the current state of the art regarding localization techniques based on geographic information. 2. Propose a drift model for localization algorithms, especially those of VEDECOM. 3. Integrate and evaluate the impact of different landmarks (2D, 3D, edges, etc.) on the localization drift. 4. Develop a method to evaluate the feasibility of a planned path regarding the available landmarks and the associated detectors. 5. Communicate the results in scientific publications. This post-doctorate will be carried out between Institut VEDECOM and one of its partner.
