[/quote] Good question - the way I understand it the annotations are more about data than the threads themselves - so if you annotate data as being guarded, the analysis will spit out warnings for other code/packages only if it is built with `-Wthread-safety`, and accesses that data unsafely (according to the the analysis rules).
