Just to add another data point, I have no problems using Gazebo with an ATI HD 4670 on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. I have to disable the compositing effects (compiz, etc) though, or the 3d part of the program will flicker. I am on a Dell XPS 1645 (Intel Core i7 1.6Ghz, 4gb ram) that I got primarily for the purpose of running ros/robotics applications. -Peter On 03/15/2010 01:32 PM, Pal, Arnab wrote: > Kaijen, > Thanks for the info. > I guess now I can go ahead and finally buy my laptop. > > Kind regards, > Arnab Pal. > Graduate student, ECE department. > Lee College Of Engineering. > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: ros-users-bounces@code.ros.org on behalf of Kaijen Hsiao > Sent: Mon 3/15/2010 2:06 PM > To: ros-users@code.ros.org > Subject: Re: [ros-users] Graphics card selection for running gazebo > > Hi Arnab, > I recently bought an NVIDIA GeForce 210 512MB card for my desktop, which > runs Gazebo just fine in Ubuntu Karmic.
