On our public ros repository I created a ros package with the bfl-examples. You can find a working particle filter in there. http://svn.mech.kuleuven.be/repos/orocos/trunk/kul-ros-pkg/ You can depend on bfl in your manifest and use the bfl library as shown in the example.
