Henry, In terms of getting the webcam working within ROS. There are quite a few ways to interact with webcams http://www.ros.org/browse/search.php?q=webcam For NXT and Tetrix it has not been tested at all. The ROS binding simply use nxt-python http://code.google.com/p/nxt-python/ you may find more information about how well supported textrix devices are from them. We currently are using their 1.x series but plan to move to the 2.x series of nxt_python when we have the time to update. http://code.google.com/p/foote-ros-pkg/issues/detail?id=15 Tully On 09/15/2010 07:47 AM, Henry Acevedo wrote: > > Hi > > I would like to know which limitation if any or requirements if one > want to add a webcam instated of w gigabit camera to ROS, then to used > in conjunction with the NTX bind. > > as I got a Tetrix system I would be able to quickly to put together a > mobile base prototype then to add a web cam to the laptop and the NXT > to control the servos and DC motors and encoders) > > as I'm in the learning curve with ROS, not sure how to integrate this > or how difficult would be, I know that I will need to wait until the > NXT_phyton 2.0 and new binding are released. > > > Thanks > > > > > _______________________________________________ > ros-users mailing list > ros-users@code.ros.org > https://code.ros.org/mailman/listinfo/ros-users >
