We have a proof of concept[1] for 'notification' support using a tag in a launch file to display text information to the user. This would allow a system to launch a series of launch files in the background and use the notification system[2] to provide user feedback when nodes are launched. We could also use an or tag to provide a custom icon for the launch file.
