Narasimhan,

I'm sorry that you ended up using the old configuration files from move_base_stage for so long without knowledge of the navigation_stage package. I incorrectly assumed that since the tutorial was linked off the navigation_stage wiki page, you were aware of its existence. Otherwise, I would've pointed you at the new package much sooner. Although I would like to, I'm  not sure that I have time to maintain the tutorial that you wrote. Given that you're going to be out of touch for the next few days or months, and the tutorial should really move to use the new configuration files, we should probably move it to an alternate location until you are able to handle the maintenance effort... perhaps we can link it off the deprecated move_base_stage package wiki page?

Once we move to CTurtle, the navigation_stage package will provide a nice example of running the navigation stack in stage, and I'll be working in the near future to update its documentation to a level that should be sufficient to get most people up and running quickly.

Hope all is well and that you enjoy your time off,

Eitan

Hi Eitan Marder-Eppstein it's an irony that though my tutorial comes under
navigation_stage. i installed ros_pkg_tutorials in june and u created the
pkg in july. so i didn't install it till now. Ur files are much more
explanatory than the move_base_stage files. probably u can edit the
tutorial. i won't be around for a few days/months. so u are free to edit the
tutorial to keep it updated and also help others who post here for queries.
thanks
