Thanks William.

I added a link to those Karmic instructions on the last line of section 1.3 in ps3joy/Tutorials/PairingJoystickAndBluetoothDongle, since I imagine I'm not the only one who overlooked the link to those instructions. (Yes, I am guilty of jumping straight to the tutorial page without reading the package overview page :)

Hi, the problem is that ubuntu is intercepting the ps3 controller before ps3joy.py.  You need to follow these instructions to get it working: http://www.ros.org/wiki/ps3joy/KarmicInstructions.  Note that if you are using Lucid Lynx (10.04) then you can skip the part about updating pybluez, in my experience anyways, and so you would only need to disable interception of HID devices (step 2).

Hope that helps,

Hi-

I'm following this tutorial to get a ps3 sixaxis controller paired with my computer. http://www.ros.org/wiki/ps3joy/Tutorials/PairingJoystickAndBluetoothDongle

On step 1.3, a window keeps popping up asking me to grant access to the device:

Grant access to '00001124-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb'
Device 'PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller' (60:38:0E:7B:5B:D9) wants access to the service '00001124-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb'.

Each time I click accept (with or without the "always grant access" check box) it pauses for a few seconds, then the window pops up again.

I am running the latest debs of cturtle on 10.04. Any idea what to do to get past this?

Thanks,
Adam
