Great!  It's possible something was not releasing the /tmp/gazebo-gavin-0 directory, gazebo tries to delete it and was not successful.

Hey John,
So I tried to delete the directory again and this time I could confirm it was deleted.  I ran gazebo and it runs again.

Thanks for all of your help!

Hi Gavin,
I thought maybe we take it off-line for a bit for more detailed debugging.

So by default, gazebo writes a directory in the form of gazebo-[use-name]-[server id] in your /tmp directory.  If you look in /tmp, does a file or directory named gazebo-gavin-0 still exist?

Also, can you double check to see that there is not another instance of gazebo running?

ps -ef | grep gazebo

Thanks,
John

Hey John,
I ran that line, and it appears to work but when I run gazebo the error about how that directory already exists persists.

What package is it located it so I could confirm whether or not it is being removed?
