I actually followed the directions from the site with the workaround and Stage still won't run. Then I copied rgb.txt into a whole bunch of locations suggested in the forum below the bug report and it still won't work. I just upgraded one of my jaunty machines to karmic, downloaded the newest ros-cturtle-pr2all binaries and I'm still getting the same error. I'll go ahead and try putting rgb.txt in /etc/X11 to see if it fixes on karmic.

I don't know. I just noticed the problem on several cturtle machines
running both Karmic and Lucid. Then, it went away with the latest deb
release.

Perhaps, it was some kind of build problem that had crept into the
previous binary packages? Maybe it got fixed by accident as a
side-effect of releasing something else.
