every project? Not define it so it defaults to ... ?
What is it best set to? Release / RelWithDebInfo / MinSizeRel ?
Generally just don't explicitly set it (it defaults to RelWithDebInfo) until it's been tested a lot and proven stable, and then switch it RelWithAsserts.
