It is an open source software/hardware &quot;smart&quot; camera system that combines the camera with an FPGA, and an embedded processor.</div><div><br></div><div>It looks like it would be very useful for robotics applications; however, it is currently only available with a 5Mpix sensor with a ROLLING shutter.</div>

<div><br></div><div>It seems to me that if they (or someone else) developed a sensor-head with a global shutter, (and integrated it with an IMU) it could be the ultimate camera for robotics applications.</div><div><br></div>
