I think you should rename this: <group ns="wide_stereo"> to <group ns="your_camera_namespace"> (e.g. if /stereo/left/camera_info then <group ns="stereo">)

vslam node dies in a few seconds after start (see attached file).
vslam was install from repository (unstable)
