Thank you for your reply. Polonius really appeals to me particularly because of the antecedence to Wizard of Oz ! LOL !

I have downloaded the wu-ros-pkg (all of it). I tried to make polonius (rosmake polonius) - but got dependency errors in there, probably I am doing something wrong. Then again some sort of installation help (I am more of a rookie) will always help.

Here are the errors;

Polonius is not in active development, meaning we haven't updated it in awhile. It's by no means a dead project, we've just been working on other things. 

I've begun a tutorial here (http://www.ros.org/wiki/polonius/Tutorials) although I admit it isn't fully fleshed out. Have you checked out the code in polonius_demo? That might be a good starting place.
