It should also be noted that the Nook Color can be overclocked to perform well (up to 1.3GHz+), but this is typically done with Cyanogen Mod and a custom kernel.  The original stock firmware ran around 800MHz, but I think they've recently bumped that up to 900MHz.  If overclocked to 1.3GHz, it's powerful enough to run Netflix, so I suspect it may work for teleop.

Honeycomb ports for the Nook Color should be avoided since these are not based on open source Android.  These images are likely modified from Tegra devices and are unstable, often unsupported, and mostly proof of concepts.

The Nook Color XDA forums are the best resource for running Cyanogen, which is based on Gingerbread.

You can build it yourself here:

But, I'll warn you that the Color Nook is a very underpowered device (based on my few interactions with the device).  The teleop apps work well on phones and official Honeycomb tablets, but I'm not sure that the Nook has enough horsepower for the video.

I sourced Honeycomb 3.0 on a Color Nook.  I had to load the Market app via the adb bridge.  I was then able to load the app chooser  - this can communicate with a turtlebot and the chirp program works.

BUT -  now when I try to load the teleop app via market nothing happens -  I get the message Your app will be downloaded and then nothing happens.  To be honest I can't load anything else either - I tried reinstalling Market -  clearing the app cache and still no dice.

So can the apks be made downloadable without using market?

(Sorry - I can't build the Demokit app for me device either.)
