Hi Dereck,

UTM-30LX-EW are supported through the new 'urg_node'.  It's going to be a beta release officially in Hydro.  However, the driver is currently available in Groovy as:
ros-groovy-urg-node

Source for it and the multiecho compatibility library, 'laser_proc' are available at the following:

I'm not sure when/if RVIZ will be patched to have a MultiEchoLaserScan display - a pull request would be great.

I don't have much graphics experience but I might try adding multi-echo support to rviz while I'm at it. :)
