Another way is to use rosserial . We've found rosserial_server quite performant, and it's straightforward to copy a few headers from the Ubuntu box to the Windows one and then integrate them with the Windows-only stuff (especially SDKs like Kinect 2 and Myo). There isn't an official rosserial-for-Windows port, but we may try to release something at some point, especially if there's interest.
