I'd like to suggest "Lunar Leatherback" both because I like the sound of "ROS Lunar" and it's fitting with their nighttime egg-laying ritual.

Well, turtles are a long-standing tradition. I could see giving that up at some point, but not with the letter "L", which begins so many lovely turtle names.
