Just want to thank Jon, William, and others for the outstanding work on catkin_tools. It's a critical piece of what makes ros-install-osx tick, and we also use it extensively inside Clearpath, both as a developer build tool, and also as the foundation of our next generation ROS deployment infrastructure.

Either install it with pip:
pip install catkin_tools --upgrade

or install via apt-get with:
apt-get update
apt-get install python-catkin-tools

To check the version of catkin_tools you're using, run:
catkin --version

If you've installed the second beta (0.4.0), you should see:
catkin_tools 0.4.0 (C) 2014-2016 Open Source Robotics Foundation
