-1 For reasons that have been well-articulated by many people already.

All I want to urge is that we not lose sight of the problem which
prompted the original suggestion. It really is difficult for those
coming into the ROS community to figure out how to effectively bring
their ideas to the table.

We should work on the existing infrastructure to make that easier to do.
