[ros-release] Build failed due to `ar`: command not found

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your answer. `ccache` seems to be the default compiler
front-end on the build server. There is no reference to `ccache` in any of
Makefiles.

You are right `ar` is in `binutils` and `binutils` seems to be installed on
the server (my prev. email). However `ar` seems not to be in the PATH or
there might be a bad symlink to it.
