[ros-users] importing collada into rviz

hi tim,

Thanks for the response! You are correct that a COLLADA->URDF
converter would be the most applicable across the ROS framework. URDF
changed a lot since i last played with it, so this is not a project
that will take me a short time to do. It will also be great if this
converter was maintained by the devs  knowledgeable with URDF rather
than someone outside since URDF will continue to evolve, and someone
needs to actively maintain the converters.

for now we'll wait on the integration of our robots with rviz and WG's
controller infrastructure.
