[ros-users] Problem with a Package Installation

Shahmi,
You need to add the package which you have checked out into your
ROS_PACKAGE_PATH environment variable so that rospack can find it.
http://www.ros.org/wiki/ROS/EnvironmentVariables

I suggest that you try working through the ROS Tutorials at
http://www.ros.org/wiki/ROS/Tutorials which explains how to use the core
tools.  After you have worked through the tutorials downloading an arbitrary
package will be much easier.
