[ros-users] rviz plugin API

Hi all,

I'm looking to make a plug-in for rviz for a waypoint management node. Basic
overview, I had a plugin that has a connected graph of waypoints in the real
world. I want to make a plugin for rviz to be able to display these
waypoints and also allow the user to select a waypoint and when selected
send that as a goal. I know I can just send markers and lines to rviz to
display the waypoint network but I don't see any way I can make it perform
and an action when selected. This is why I was looking to make my own
plugin.

Does anyone have any ideas or know when the plugin API for rviz is going to
be released?
