The Python bindings for KDL are not supported in Boxturtle, because of
dependency problems (cmake, python-sip4). That said, they will
probably work on Intrepid and Jaunty, but not on Hardy.   Cturtle has
full support for PyKDL.

A good way to test PyKDL is:

$ roscd kdl
$ rospython

and then try to import PyKDL:

>>> import PyKDL
