[ros-users] RViz crashing when viewing an model

I created a small test program, the following program is sufficient to cause
the same crash (crashes on the call to load)

#include <FreeImage.h>
int main(int argc, char** argv)
{
    FIBITMAP *d;
    FreeImage_Initialise();
    d = FreeImage_Load(FIF_TIFF,
"/opt/ros/cturtle/stacks/pr2_common/pr2_description/meshes/base_v0/wheel_color.tif",
TIFF_DEFAULT);
   ...
