[ros-users] ROS and virtual private networks

Something about the default configuration of c-turtle installed via package
manager precludes it from being used while my cisco VPN client is running.

roscore will not start and fails with the following message:

Unable to contact my own XML-RPC server, this is a highly unusual error and
should be reported immediately.  My URI is [http://"my_machine_name":37831/]


Any tips or suggestions?
