[ros-users] ROS Groovy SIG Progress Update

Hi Everyone,

TLDNR: All the Groovy SIG's all have google groups, sign up for them and
get involved!

Following the basic groovy development cycle we've now finished the
proposal cycle and should get started actively working within the groups to
set targets for the next round.  We now have 11 groups proposed with
several people interested in contributing to each of them.  You can find
them listed here: http://www.ros.org/wiki/groovy/Planning

I have setup google group mailing lists for all the SIGs.  They are linked
from the wiki pages.  Hopefully you will also be able to find all the
groups from a google groups search of "ros-sig" after google's index
catches up.

The first step is to choose a coordinator and start having meetings.
 Please do this within the group, or we'll appoint someone as the
coordinator.

Recently we've been successfully using google hangouts, but the format for
the meetings is up to the consensus of the group. Many of you had a chance
to start talking at ROSCon.  Please start some threads to summarize and
follow up the discussions started there.
