[ros-users] What is LGPL licensed in roscpp_core metapackage?

As I announced early, we are working on an OpenEmbedded layer for ROS.

Our OpenEmbedded layer for ROS contains the meta information about the ROS packages.
The OpenEmbedded Linux project includes a tool for automatic checking of licensing issues.
So, we will get license checking for free in that project (as long as the license information we extract is correct).

A stand-alone solution for the ROS ecosystem might be useful as well, but it's not on our direct path at the moment.

Are you planning on something generic? I could image something like "rospack license" in rospack similar to "rospack depends" is quite useful.
