Perhaps useful to others: [jenkins_bcrypt_pw_util](https://github.com/gavanderhoorn/jenkins_bcrypt_pw_util). This is a simple script that generates a Jenkins compatible password hash using `bcrypt`.

Starting up a Jenkins instance to get hold of such a hash for your new Jenkins deployment seemed a bit convoluted :)
