[ros-users] custom arena

turtlesim is probably not the right choice, since it doesn't do any of the
things you'd want -- collision detection, sensing, etc.  turtlesim is really
just a tool developed for learning ROS.  Something like Stage (
http://www.ros.org/wiki/stage) is a better choice.
