[ros-users] Running Roscore without internet

Hi Eric,
 
I have 2 entries under /etc/hosts. 
 
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 user-laptop
 
I can ping successfully between these 2 IP's with ssh localhost, ping user-laptop and vice-versa.

Can you successfully ping localhost?


 

What are the contents of /etc/hosts on your machine? Is there an entry
such as "127.0.0.1 localhost"?
