So it seems that you only have IPv6 addresses for localhost when you
are not connected to a network. I have no idea why that is... maybe
you can check the network settings in Gnome to see if there is
anything that looks like it could cause this behavior. Or see if you
can just disable IPv6 entirely if you aren't using it.
