Hi Florian,

 

on Monday I sent the following two [1] [2] e-mails on rosusers mailing list and only now I figured out that basically they didn't arrive even I was subscribed to the mailing list  Anyhow I am coming with good news: client-rosjava-jni is building again and I think it should be available as Debian package after the next repo sync.

as Lorenz said, I promised to maintain client-rosjava-jni. Unfortunately I was away when client-rosjava-jni stopped to build. Now I fixed it and I am ready to release it again ASAP. We intend to further maintain client-rosjava-jni. I expect that the wiki page will be updated after I will do the release.

 

To all who rely on client-rosjava-jni, sorry for the delay, please consider my apologies for this inconvenience!

The client_rosjava_jni was not synced to the repo this cycle because it is not building. You can see the console output of a recent attempt to build it here: http://jenkins.willowgarage.com:8080/view/GbinP64/job/ros-groovy-client-rosjava-jni_binarydeb_precise_amd64/11/consoleFull  Previously it was failing on one of the three supported Ubuntu distros.  Now it's failing on all 3. ( The listing in my email is simply Precise 64 bit listed.)  Once it's patched and building it'll come back in the next sync.   We had too many other packages queued for release to wait longer for this to be patched.
