Hi all,

The Creative Robotics Lab at UNSW Art & Design has a position available for a software engineer in a research and development role at the National Facility for Human Robot Interaction Research, based in Sydney, Australia. We are looking for an experienced software engineer who be responsible for researching, designing and implementing software and systems for the Facility.

The research and development aspects of the role will primarily involve large-scale sensor data acquisition and fusion, and incorporating real-time estimation of location, pose, gesture and other factors for people, robots and objects. It will further include visualising and publishing research data in real time for use by experimenters, deployment on Linux systems, and integration with a ROS based mobile robot platform.

**Candidate Requirements**

An applicable Bachelor-level degree or equivalent experience.

Demonstrable experience in:

 * Computer science and/or software engineering research and development
 * C++ and best practices for software quality assurance, testing and documentation
 * Software development for Linux systems

Experience with one or more of: ROS software development and integration, RGB, depth and/or range-finder sensors, sensor data acquisition and fusion, sensor-based person and world state estimation, GPU programming and Python programming, Linux systems deployment and/or management.
