Hi,

As you may have heard Primesense released their drivers as an open source
project OpenNI http://openni.org/

This evening we have successfully gotten ROS nodes running with these
drivers on the Kinect. This includes running demo of the NITE Skeleton
tracking in the nite packages.

There's still lost of work to do. If you want to try it out there are
install instructions, and some demo programs to run see
