Hi,
This is a message to maintainers of ROS mirrors. We have updated the
infrastructure to support mirroring of the API documentation from a tarball
download to an rsync invoction. The new method takes significantly less
bandwidth, processing, and diskspace to maintain the mirrors.
The updated instructions have been posted on the wiki
http://wiki.ros.org/Mirrors You will need to replace the download and
unpack command with a single rsync command.
Due to the improved performance for both the source and downstream mirrors
I expect to switch the main wiki mirror over as well in the near future. I
will send a follow up message about that too.
