Subject: [ros-users] Updated Distributions Page on the Wiki
Hi everyone,

I've recently taken sometime to update the Distributions page on the wiki:

http://wiki.ros.org/Distributions

Their purpose is to list the existing and planned ROS distributions and
summarize the release policy and schedule. We felt the previous pages were
a little confusing so hopefully these new pages are a little easier to
understand.

We didn't change any of the policies or plans, but we did highlight one
thing that maybe wasn't clear before. Our policy allows for us to stop
building binaries for Ubuntu distributions which enter EOL. In practice we
haven't been doing this, but for example, we might want to stop building
binaries for Indigo on Saucy, since Saucy is EOL and no longer gets
upstream updates which we might need and yet Indigo still has several years
of support left. I probably won't make sense to continue to try and build
Saucy binaries for that much longer.

We'll let everyone know if we plan to act on this before we do, so there's
nothing happening right now.

If you have a chance, please look over the page and see if anything jumps
out at you as incorrect.

Thanks!
