DCS is looking for an experienced Robotics Software Developer to assist with the development a military-specific version of the popular Robot Operating System (ROS).
The successful candidate will possess development, test and integration experience with ROS, to include experience with the ROS middleware, libraries and tools.
The candidate will be part of a team developing reusable ROS-based components and associated documentation to be included in an DoD-wide software repository.
The candidate will collaborate with industry-leading robotics experts across government and industry.
**Requirements**
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus five (5) years of experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Experience developing robotic systems using the ROS middleware, libraries and tools.
Intermediate to expert level in programming experience in C++ and object oriented analysis and design.
**Desired Skills**
Experience with Gazebo, OpenCV and Point Cloud Library is desirable.
Experience with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins is desirable.
Knowledge of ROS 2.0.
