Hi. I am not a very experienced user yet, but I was thinking that [Orocos](http://orocos.org) already provides this concept. Doesn't it?

You can always check if the information that you read is or not. On the other hand, you can even schedule the components to run in a certain order. The biggest advantage is that it can work in harmony with ROS nodes.
