Subject: [ros-users] [Discourse.ros.org] [Next Generation ROS] Why do we have package.xml instead of package.yaml in ROS2?

See the [rationale section in REP-0127](http://www.ros.org/reps/rep-0127.html#data-format). The gist is that package.xml gets parsed rather often and Python XML parsing was found to be an order of magnitude faster than YAML.
