[ros-users] TF and transformPointCloud2?

Hi there,
I looked around a bit and noticed that TF is not supporting transforms
of PointCloud2 message types yet. Is this correct? Are there plans to
provide such function?
What is the recommended way to circumvent this as of now, by using a
point_cloud_converter node or a
"sensor_msgs::convertPointCloud2ToPointCloud (const
sensor_msgs::PointCloud2 &input, sensor_msgs::PointCloud &output)"
function?
