So do I. But as I've had no luck in searching for 'typelib' or combinations 
including 'gem' and 'type' I think I need some help guiding me in the right 
direction.

[root at calvin orocos_toolchain_ros]# ruby --version
ruby 1.8.7 (2011-02-18 patchlevel 334) [i386-linux]
[root at calvin orocos_toolchain_ros]# gem --version
1.3.7
